Community Solidarity Celebration!
For the completion of the 2008 Peace and Dignity Journeys!

The run is on its last stretch for this cycle. I can only imagine the journey the runners have had. For those of us here organizing its been "a good one". Though we've not run the miles that our borthers and sisters have, we understand that we've hepled in pushing the run through its course. My thanks and appreciation go out to the communities and the people who have helped the run and continue to help the run either by hosting runners, raising funds, and by offering prayers and members of their community to actually carry the run through their homelands.

As with many of the ceremonies that we partake in there is an opening and a closing and with the closing comes the time for community to gather and celebrate with song and dance, and good food!

For those us not going to Panama to meet the runners we are going to gather in the Bay Area in solidarity with the folks down in the southern part of the continent. You are invited to join us!
